Why are you involved in Core Academy?
I am involved in Core Academy because I think it is essential to give back to the community. I have a very blessed existence on this planet and it is my responsibility and honor to share it with other people. Especially, with people that remind me of myself. Even though I may not have had as rough a beginning as some, emotionally I had a rough beginning, and I think it is really important to let like minded people with similar experiences know that the opportunities in life are available to everyone. You just have to decide what’s most important for you and what you are willing to give up to get to where you want to be. Also, I feel like culinary arts is a lost art for kids these days and I don’t feel like people are handing the knowledge and skills down or passing the torch so to speak. I want to do that. I want to give people an opportunity and pass on the art.
What are three things you can’t live without?
Freedom
Deep meaningful conversations with people I love.
Relationships with substance.
What makes you laugh out loud?
Laughing at myself and, the ridiculousness of life itself.
